Amanté, Enamor, Daisy Dee, Lejaby, Marie Jo, Calvin Klein, Vanessa, Sans Souci, Victoria’s Secret, etc.. What do these words have in common? They are all brands of lingerie.
Lingerie is a term for fashionable and alluring women’s undergarments. It derives from the French word linge, “washables” — as in faire le linge, “do the laundry” — and ultimately from lin for washable linen, the fabric from which European undergarments were made before the general introduction of cotton from Egypt and then from India.
These are stylish, sexy, seductive, fashionable and sooooooooooooooooooooooo EXPENSIVE!!!
A couple of days ago, I was out with my friend who has this huge craze for lingerie. It’s become something like a colelction of hers! I too would love to buy lingerie and wear a new one everyday to let that feeling of beauty wrap me in a comfortable cocoon of self confidence and to entice my husband to do many things;-) But these small pieces of garments are SO costly, it just is NOT affordable! Have you watched the internet sites for these lingerie? Its so tempting!
But why are they so costly? Some of these brands of undergarments which by the way none would see us don except for ourselves, are more costly than the dress we wear that everyone sees! WHY? Is there any logical explanation for this?
I’m wondering. Could the reason be the high cost why many women just don’t feel that a bra is a necessary piece of clothing?
These prices have got to reduce sometime sooner rather than later so that the beauty one feels from inside can emanate from the individual.
